How to Batch Print Files in Order of Number of Pages

This tutorial shows how to batch print files in sort order of the number of pages i.e. the page count with a simple-to-use piece of software called Batch & Print Pro by Traction Software, if you have many files to print which can be of any file type then this tutorial is the perfect choice for this purpose, simple and easy to follow guide and video. 
See the instructions below for a simple step-by-step process that anyone can follow, in this guide, we use Batch & Print Pro to print multiple pdf files to your printer in various sort orders but specifically, we show you how to print files in page count order.

How to Batch Print Multiple Files to Your Printer in Page Count Sequence

To start with this tutorial presumes you have your PDF’s and other file types on your PC computer in a folder you have access to and you have Batch & Print Pro installed which can be found on batch-print.com here  direct download link here

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Connect your computer to the printer and ensure the printer is turned on.
  2. Open the Folder where your PDF’s are located.
  3. Open Batch & Print Pro
  4. Select the PDF’s by using Select All or by using SHIFT key, left mouse select first PDF then left mouse on the last PDF (see figure 1).

  5. Drag and Drop the PDF’s straight into Batch & Print Pro (hold left mouse down on PDF’s selected and move mouse into Batch & Print Pro main window and release), this will get the files ready for printing. (see figure 2).

  6. Click on the Pages in the top header to Sort by Pages in Ascending order and click on it again for Descending Order (see figure 3).

  7. Select the printer you wish to use in File > Printer Setup… (see figure 4).

  8. Select the Printer in the Print Setup Window and click OK (see figure 5).

  9. Remove or Select ones with e.g. 2 Pages to Not to print by using SHIFT and Left Mouse on Files in the list, then either press DELETE key or right mouse to get the options menu up and choose Set Selected to ‘No’ (see figure 6).

  10. Select the Print button in the Batch & Print Pro main window where the files are. (see figure 7).

  11. Repeat Steps 9-10 to print the other number of pages. i.e. either remove the current by selecting and pressing the DELETE key or set the no’s to yes by selecting the files to change status and go into the Action menu to select them to Yes or No.
